Study Questions
1-10
1.     To go live with him but not with marriage just live-in relationship. In the third part he offers caps and a skirt. A gown, and some gold is given to her in the fourth part. In the fifth and sixth, he goes on how they should live together in happiness.
2.      For her to stay with him and life
3.     The love of all the promises the shepherd offers could only be valid if the world and love were young.
4.     Shepherd’s can be a lonely life. Must know how to carry supplies they need for days or weeks at a time.  He lives a long life on the road, with cooking outside, sleeping lightly and facing down enemies of the flock.
5.     Her mind can be changed she doesn’t necessary wanted him.
6.     Lover words- She believes what the shepherd says is lies because it will all die during winter and the promises can not be kept.
The value of love tokens- She believes the tokens he offers are lies because they will not be complete and the promises are broken
Planning for the Future- She says what it gets to winter everything is going to be cold and die like nature does.
7.     That the Nymph is like nature because in greek mythology they are the spirts of the trees and rivers, but during winter they will start to die and freeze
8.     The nymphs actually wants it to last if she does go to him, while the shepherd just wants lust and will offer anything up for it.

1.     It is compared to fire like a burning passion
2.     That is got washed away so the that his lover would go away but every time he writes it the ocean washes it away again
3.     That they want each other but they will never be together
4.     Fire and ice, cold to hot
5.     It shows that his fire still burns and he lost his mind over and it was because of love
6.     Sonnet 30- is that the love and passion will always burn on but she is so cold and will have it go out
Sonnet 75- is that it will always go away with time be with his women is not immortal but merely temporally.
7.     A beloved man- That the love still lasts even though it was washed away
Romantic love- Everything is gray and not good enough in the world compared to the woman she loves.
